Main highlights of this version of Instant Team are:

• Mac OS X client
  

  New version of Instant Team runs not only on Windows or Linux but also on this ever more popular platform from Apple. Only Intel based computers running Leopard or newer system are supported.

• Import from MS Project
  

  Work break down structure can be now easily transferred from the popular Microsoft Project application.

• Recurring tasks
  

  - Project plans can now include tasks that repeat in regular time intervals. Individual instances of these recurring tasks are then handled as ordinary tasks.
  - Recurrence pattern can be changed later on and all instances automatically follow this change. On the other hand it is possible for particular instances to divert from the pattern - for example to modify the owner of the instance - and these differences are maintened even after the change of the pattern.

• Resource capacity and other scheduling improvements
  

  - It is now possible to specify maximum capacity for individual resources ("Max. units" field) and this capacity is then taken into accent in automatic resource leveling and when showing resource overallocations. It is thus possible to model cases where a project team member is available only for a fraction of a work day and/or to model a resource that represents whole company department.
  - Task window now includes not only a list of predecessors but a list of successors as well. It is thus as easy to add or remove a successor as it is to add or remove a predecessor.
  - It is possible to manually specify for particular resources when to start automatic resource levelling for them whether it be in the past or in the future. In previous version was this time directly linked to last time reported with timer and it was not possible to edit it.
  - When Instant Team starts users are notified of all late tasks of the logged in user if there are any.
  - Even an ordinary member of a project team (not a project manager) can now change owner of her tasks. She can though pick only among resources assigned to her.
  - Instant Team now includes a new user role "Supervisor". Users in this role see all information about all projects but they have no right to modify anything.

• Customization enhancements
  

  - It is now possible to create localizable fields, that is fields whose value can contain translations to different languages.
  - Workflow configuration was now radically enhanced. It is now possible to restrict validity of individual workflow rules, specify conditions and number of instances for a particular rule, preconfigure parent, remaining and contact fields within the rules, title and description can now be specified by an expression, individual instances can now be manually deleted and it is possible to link to them and refer to their state within expressions.
  - Instant Team now allows to define virtual databases that are based on a union of other databases. This can be used to present records from different databases within the same report.
  - It is now possible to specify conditional color formatting of records in reports.
  - Record windows can show indirect fields, ie. values from related records.
  - Expressions can now use so called embedded summarization, that is calculations over a set of records that conform to defined criteria.

• Server as a Windows service
  

  Instant Team Server can now be run in a form of a service even on Windows. Server administration thus better conforms to best practices on this platform.

• Enhanced documentation
  

  Instant Team User's Guide now includes full description of application features not only in the Standard license level but in the Professional level as well.
