Main highlights of this version of Instant Team are:

• Completely redesigned user interface
  

  Application user interface was completely rewritten and has a native look and feel on all supported platforms. Several additional GUI improvements were introduced along the way:
  - It is possible to copy all or part of an active report to clipboard and paste it into another application like Word or Excel.
  - Inline editing within reports is now truly inline. The editing zone below the report is no longer necessary.
  - Incremental search within reports is now more powerfull and user friendly.
  - Lines in text fields are now wrapped automatically according to the available space.
  - Look up fields now remember 20 values last used and these can be easily reused.

• Baselines
  

  Instant Team automatically stores actual project plan at the end of every day and you thus have at your disposal unlimited number of project baseline plans. Just choose a day to compare the actual plan to and Instant Team will show you a comparison of the baseline and actual plans in a well-arranged Gantt chart.

• Cost accounting
  

  You can enter hourly rates for the project resources or even individual task into Instant Team and it would then automatically calculate planned and actual costs for the project. Furthermore, you can display timing of the cost accrual in a handy cash-flow chart.

• Critical path
  

  The application continually calculates free float and total float of individual project tasks and allows you to graphically display the critical path in the project. Therefore you never miss an opportunity to shorten the project duration. It can also help you to concentrate on the particular tasks that are critical for the success of your on-going project.

• Number of smaller project management enhancements
  

  - Tasks are now automatically numbered. The numbering follows their order in the work breakdown structure and can be easily modified by drag and drop or with keyboard shortcuts.
  - Each task has a new Units field that specifies how much of the resource capacity should be allocated for the task during the duration of the task.
  - % done field is now editable.
  - Tasks can be assigned to multiple resources at once.
  - Automatic task scheduling can be utilized even in resource-less project plans thanks to the new schedule-as-soon-as-possible option (just type "P" into the order field). Such marked tasks are automatically scheduled as soon as their predecessors are scheduled to finish and their finish is automatically adjusted according to the effort estimate and units assigned.
  - Tasks can be easily duplicated together with all their subtasks and relationships between them.

• Project templates
  

  If you have more similar projects in your portfolio, you can create project templates that you can easily create new projects from. You can then modify the individual project as you wish. Knowledge and project methodology sharing between your projects is thus much simpler and you also save a lot of work this way.
